Date Correction: Green-Level 1 will go into effect next week, Tuesday, September 1st.

CHS Families, we have been in discussions with Johnson County Community Health and it has been determined that starting Tuesday of next week (September 4th) it is appropriate and safe for Chilhowee School to transition to "Green-Level 1". This means that all K-12 students will attend school (in the building) Tuesday through Friday. Monday is Distance Learning and students will not be in the building. Families who elected for their child to learn fully virtual will continue with that learning plan.

Senior Parents: The school is offering the ACT this October for current seniors wishing to take it for placement into college programs and for A+ requirements. Mrs. Dillon needs to know today if your senior will be taking the ACT here at school in October. Please email or call Mrs. Dillon by 3:30 today.

All Juniors and Seniors planning on participating in the School to Work Program need to have paperwork turned into Mrs. Dillon by the end of the school day tomorrow, Friday, August 28th.

CHS Families, this a reminder that Monday is a Distance Learning day. Students will not attend the school building, but will instead "distance" learn from home. Here's some examples: work on practice work assigned by teachers, watch a prerecorded lesson-video from teacher(s), complete online assignments, or for those who lack internet - complete an assignment on their Chromebook or via a learning packet. Monday afternoons are specifically designed for teachers and staff to hold academic conferencing with fully virtual students and other students who need academic assistance. Have a fun and safe weekend, we look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday!

The Fall Athletic Season is upon us. As we start to travel and host competitions, it will take communication to ensure fans are aware of the restrictions, protocols, and expectations at home and away games. Messages will be sent out for each event so fans are aware what to expect at the venues. Please use link for general expectations for Chilhowee Home Events. These may change routinely based on current threat levels and lessons learned. #GoIndians

CHS Families: With a heavy heart, the Chilhowee School District will need to cancel the 2020-21 high school varsity football season, this is due to lack of participation. To the coaches and young men who have been working hard to prepare for the season, take pride in your work ethic and commitment. Even in the face of adversity, you pressed on. Your fortitude is an inspiration to your school and a glimpse into your grit and spirit.
