All summer Athletic activities at Chilhowee School are canceled. This includes basketball open gyms, volleyball open gyms, football conditioning, and weight lifting. Future plans will be communicated by coaches when restrictions are lifted and it's deemed safe to return.
Due to the new Johnson County mask mandates and in the interest of student safety, all volleyball open gyms have been canceled. They will resume when the restrictions are lifted.
Reminder for CHS students and families: starting tomorrow, from 8am to 3pm, June 30th (Tuesday), and July 1st (Wednesday), we will be collecting student Chromebooks and iPads as well as handing out grade cards. Please stop by the school either of these days. It is important that we receive each student's device so that we can update them for the upcoming school year. We appreciate your cooperation.

Reminder that Sports Physicals are required for students to participate in Chilhowee athletics. 2019 Physicals are valid for the 2020-2021 school year, however, an annual pre-participation package must still be completed before the physical is valid. All forms can be found on the MSHSAA website under the sports medicine tab. Students will not be allowed to practice or compete until a valid physical is on file with the school.
Thursday, June 25th @ 5:00PM, Coach Adams and Coach Anderson will be holding a volleyball meeting in the school parking lot for those interested in JH and Varsity Volleyball. The meeting will take approx. 30 Minutes and will be discussing open gyms and plans for the season.
Tonight's graduation ceremony is being recorded by senior parent, Laura Young on Facebook Live. Graduation begins at 7pm.

The June board of education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night June 17, 2020 @ 7:00 pm at Heroes restaurant in Warrensburg, Mo. Items on the agenda: consent items (bills payroll and CSM contract for erate) old business: updates on calendar (options for 4-day) and COVID-19 update. New business: approval of Federal and State programs, Approval of final bills and payroll for FY20, Approval of FY20 budget as actual exp and rev, and Approval of 2020-2021 FY budget. No executive session will be held.

Do you have a child that will enter kindergarten this fall? If so, call the school today to sign up for Chilhowee Kindergarten Boot Camp. Children will be given the chance to get to know their teacher and their school through a variety of activities.

Tuesday, June 2nd, 6:00PM, there will be a meeting for all High School Girls interested in Varsity Basketball for the 2020-2021 season in the Gym. This meeting will discuss summer open gym plans and rules of engagement. Duration: 30 Minutes.

This fun filled 2 week summer event will introduce your little one to the procedures of school and help them fill comfortable come August. Graduation for the 2020 senior class will be held Friday, June 19th at 7pm on the CHS football field. In order to honor our seniors and keep ceremonies as close to the CHS tradition as possible, we will strive to hold outdoor ceremonies even if weather is perhaps not perfect, but in case of inclement weather, an alternative plan will consist of limiting the number of guests and moving the ceremony indoors to the gymnasium. Further details to come.
