In order to provide the highest level of safety for our students and staff and ensure we do not jeopardize our ability to return in the fall, the Chilhowee R-IV School District will not be offering summer school this year. We will provide remote, online JH/HS Credit Recovery.
Monday 5/18 will be the last day for meal service in May. Meal service will resume June 1st and last through June 26. Details will be sent out next week on how the meals will be served.

Due to Easter, next week's lunches will be served on Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 12pm at Chilhowee School. We will resume the original Monday/Thursday schedule after next week.
After reviewing the Stay-at-Home Public Health Emergency Order from Johnson County, we ask that if their's something essential that you need from the school building, please call the school to set an appointment first. as our office hours will be limited.
To help save driving for families, lunch will be served on Monday and Thursday of each week. Monday 3/30 meals will be handed out for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday 4/2 meals will be handed out for Thursday, Friday, and back snack for the weekend. Thanks for your patience during these changes.

Please read this most recent letter from Chilhowee School. In this letter you'll find information regarding checking out student Chromebooks & iPads as well as the plan for continued learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
With the recent Emergency Declaration from Johnson County and the declarations in the KC Metro, the District has moved the school closure date to April 24, 2020. The current plan is for students to return on April 27, 2020. The district will be sending out a learning plan shortly for families and students.
On Thursday 8am-1pm & Friday 6am-1pm CHS will be checking out iPads & Chromebooks and Learning Packets to students K-12. Learning Packets are for students who do not have internet service or simply would like one. To schedule a pick up time,call 660-678-4511 between 10am-1pm.
Message for CHS students and families: If you have a question during the Covid-19 pandemic, we will ensure that a staff member is available to take phone calls from 10am to 1pm each day. Please look for additional information to be shared during the upcoming days.
To clarify yesterday’s post: Walk up students/kids 18 and under will also be served at the cafeteria doors. An area will be setup outside. We ask that social distancing practices be followed by walk up groups.
